Konami Removing P.T Demo from PSN on April 29

One of the biggest (and scariest) surprises of last year was the playable teaser for Silent Hills, a game produced by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro with actor Norman Reedus in the lead role. The P.T demo was available on the PlayStation Network shortly after its announcement at Gamescom and became an instant hit. Despite its popularity however, it will no longer be available on PSN after the month of April.

According to the official website for P.T, the “distribution period for P.T (Playtable Teaser) will expire on April 29, 2015.”

Given how Konami has removed Hideo Kojima’s name from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Silent Hills, taking P.T off the PSN isn’t all that surprising. Being that Kojima will no longer be a member of Konami by the end of the year, it’s unclear as to whether Silent Hills has been completely cancelled or not. This news doesn’t give those who have been looking forward to the game and fear its cancellation any hope, however.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
