There are two types of gamers out there, those who play for fun and as a distraction from everyday activities and then there are those who play for mental stimulation. I know there are some who enjoy games that require nothing more than pure chance and luck. If you enjoy games like online lottery, where your chances of winning are 100 percent determined by luck, you won’t find this very helpful as this is meant for those looking for strategy games.
Total War: Warhammer 2
Total War: Warhammer 2 is one of the best strategy games of recent times. The game combines dragon and magic characters and it requires the player to engage in campaign mechanics in order to find a way of surviving from the physically menacing fire-spitting dragons and dangerous winds full of the sorcerer’s magic. The game is flashy but a good play for someone who wants to use their brain in various gameplay scenario.
Civilization VI
Civilization VI copies its predecessors which focuses on the central theme of survival in a small community setting. Just like real life, surviving in a community is not only about avoiding getting sick and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you also need to be on the lookout for dangerous elements such as those who have no fear in taking one’s life. The main objective of Civilization VI is to keep a cool head – and survive.
Offworld Trading Company
The same person who developed Civilization VI, Soren Johnson, developed Offworld Trading Company. However, in these two games, we see firsthand Johnson’s flexibility as he managed to develop two totally different games with no resemblance to each other whatsoever. Offworld Trading Company is all about trying to survive economically as a top executive of an oil company based in Mars. Unlike other games, cash is your weapon of choice instead of guns, stones, and knives.
Stellaris
In Stellaris, you are the overseer of your community and you need to protect your community from all sorts of destructive forces such as alien texts, robotic rebellions, and mutant uprisings. Expect your stay as the city’s overseer to be as rough as it can get, especially when you get stick because of bad decisions and it’s not just your own citizens you need to worry about. Watch out for the outer forces too who enjoy punishing others.
