Last night, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment revealed the official retail box art for both the standard and deluxe editions of their upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game. The previously released reveal trailer from Star Wars Celebration is embedded above while the retail box art images and a brief synopsis of the highly anticipated single-player action-adventure title are included below.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order takes place after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and revolves around the fallout caused by it. Players take on the role of Padawan Cal Kestis (portrayed by Shameless and Gotham actor Cameron Monaghan) and will have to face many challenges brought upon by the Galactic Empire. Respawn will be showing off more of Fallen Order during today’s EA PLAY 2019 Livestream on both Twitch and YouTube at 9:30 am PST/ 12:30 pm EST.
With a November 15th release date already confirmed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, it’s evident that Fallen Order is EA’s major holiday 2019 release. Given all of the criticism that they have received for mishandling the Star Wars license so far, it will be very interesting to see how this game ultimately turns out and what it will mean for Respawn if it fails to meet expectations.
