During Summer Games Fest, NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment released a brand new trailer for Blood Message. This upcoming cinematic, single-player, linear, story-driven action-adventure is currently in development for consoles and PC. The trailer is embedded above, while a brief description of the game is included below:
Set in the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD, players take on the role of a nameless messenger who embarks on a perilous eastward journey to deliver a message that holds the fate of his homeland. The game’s setting in the last years of the Tang Dynasty provides a cultural landmark of Chinese history, framing the story with the era’s customs, culture, and rich history.
Blood Message was originally revealed last June, and this trailer continues to pique my interest in the game. Stay tuned for more thoughts on the game after I have spent hands-on time with it.
