It’s official, Heavy Rain is a success. Quantic Dream founder David Cage has revealed that his team’s critically acclaimed PS3 thriller has reached the 1 million sold milestone, less than 2 months after it’s release. Speaking to German website Play3.de, Cage stated “We sold more than a million copies of Heavy Rain worldwide, that was a surprise for many. Some expected more like 200,000 to 300,000 sold units. We’re counting on selling 1.5 million units by the end of the year”.
Excellent news, but what could this mean for Heavy Rain’s future? More DLC? A Sequel? a Playstation Move controlled party game starring Sean and Jason? Only time will tell.
