If you heard the Koalition’s latest co-op podcast we talked about the inevitable pushback of games that are scheduled to release around the same time as Call of Duty. Socom 4 was the first victim of COD’s 2010 fall domination and Crysis 2 happens to be next. EA has stated that Crysis 2 is now releasing in their fourth financial quarter (January- March) instead of quarter three.
So what’s the deal. Are these companies really scared to release around the monster Activision has created. I think a lot of them are. We may want to keep our eyes on Medal of Honor to see what happens to it. What do you think?
