Earlier this week, Ubisoft released a trailer explaining the bonus 60 minutes of gameplay content that will be exclusive to the PlayStation versions of their Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag video game.
As the trailer above indicates, the bonus content will feature the return of female assassin Aveline de Grandpre as she embarks a 3 distinct missions aimed at expanding her original storyline. Aveline was the lead protagonist in last year’s Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation video game and went on to become a series fan favorite. Ubisoft also added that Aveline will have all the same movesets and weapons that she had in Liberation. As stated above, this 60 minutes of additional gameplay will only be available on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.
With this news following shortly after the season pass announcement, it’s clear that Ubisoft is positioning Black Flag as their biggest Assassin’s Creed game yet. I personally am enjoying their ability to explore the lives of other assassin’s and how they all play into the larger historical timeline at hand. The bonus content is ideal for any fan who craves more Assassin’s Creed and should keep a majority of people satisfied for quite awhile.
Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will release on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The next-gen versions will hit right around the launch of both consoles. Has this trailer convinced any of you to pick up the PlayStation version of the game?
