Earlier today, 2K Sports sent us over the official trailer from their popular WWE 2K14 video game.
The video above highlights various in-game moments and cinematic sequences all while giving a brief overview of the game’s mode and features. Several of the wrestling favorites who make an appearance in this trailer are The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and The Undertaker. According to several of the quotes in the video, WWE 2K14 is praised for it’s smooth gameplay controls and massive roster of both active wrestlers and legendary hall of famers. This video comes roughly a week after 2K Sports announced the season pass for the game.
After playing WWE 13 rather extensively last year, I haven’t noticed any major differences yet that would make WWE 2K14 worthy of a purchase. While the meaty roster is admirable, the failure to include popular wrestlers like Rob Van Dam and Bray Wyatt easily makes this a disappointing package that’s already horribly out of date. 2K has alot of work to do to improve this series and hopefully they are up for the challenge.
WWE 2K14 is out now for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Did any of you get a chance to pickup this year’s entry? If so, feel free to let us know what you think about it in the comments section below.
