Earlier this week, The Creative Assembly announced via their Total War forum that their brand new expansion pack for Total War: Rome II has experienced a delay and will now be launching on December 17th. Titled Caesar in Gaul, this standalone campaign pack will retail for $14.99 and focus specifically on Julius Caesar’s war of expansion against the Gaulish tribes.
The Horsham based developer emphasized that Caesar in Gaul would provide a more expanded and detailed vision of Gaul and the south coast of Britannia. Players will be able to explore 18 new provinces, and fight against famous statesmen and generals from that historical time period. Lastly, the expansion unlocks 3 new factions in the Nervii, Boii, and Galatians. All three of these joinable factions are broken up into distinct units and can be accessed within the main game’s campaign at anytime. For more information on this expansion pack, please refer this detailed post over at the Total War forum.
Total War: Rome II has been positively received by most critics and fans alike. The announcement regarding this expansion pack will no doubt excite those who just can’t get enough of what the game has to offer.
