/// SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN

In 2054, a terrorist organization known as the KVA initiates the first global terrorist attack in history by simultaneously destroying the nuclear reactors of developed countries around the globe, including the United States. Across five continents, many developed countries’ infrastructures were devastated and the military is incapable of fighting the threat posed by the KVA. As the result, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for many countries. Jack Mitchell (Troy Baker), a former U.S. Marine who lost his left arm during a battle in Seoul, joins the Atlas Corporation, the world’s most powerful Private Military Corporation with the most advanced technologies on the planet. Executing clandestine operations across the globe for the highest bidder, Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey), the CEO and founder of Atlas, begins his war over the ineffectiveness of the United States as the promoter of democracy all over the world to change the global balance of power.

/// CHARACTERS

Jack Mitchell //

In Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you assume the role of private Jack Mitchell [Voiced by Troy Baker], a young marine who finds himself reborn as a soldier working for the atlas corporation.

Jonathan Irons //

As founder of the atlas corporation, Jonathan Irons [Voiced by Kevin Spacey] has become one of the most powerful men in the world. His savvy as a businessman is outweighed only by his skill in anticipating and navigating geopolitical issues. Cunning and shrewd, he desires power more than anything else and has the wherewithal to get it. The question is: where will that leave those who have come to serve him and his quest for “order” in the world?

Cormack //

Tough as nails and loyal to a fault, Sergeant Cormack [Voiced by Russell Richardson] is a grunt if there ever was one. He was a squad leader in the marines for years, until he was asked to lead the sentinel task force. Now, he tirelessly pursues those who would harm america, at home or abroad.

Gideon //

If you need a job done right, regardless of the risk, Gideon is your man. Captain Gideon [Voiced by Gideon Emery] turns recruits into advanced soldiers at atlas. For him, it’s more than just outfitting grunts with the latest gear, it’s turning them into the best soldiers in the world.

Ilona //

Meet Ilona, a member of the sentinel task force. Cool and aloof, Ilona [Voiced by Angela Gots] is not much for conversation and she doesn’t need to be – her skills as a tier one operator do the talking for her. Trained as a sniper in the Russian Spetsnaz Special Forces, she now uses her exceptional abilities for the atlas corporation.

/// THE EXOSKELETON SYSTEM

Every soldier is equipped with an exoskeleton including a feature set that enables more tactical freedom than ever before. Boost jump introduces verticality to the Call of Duty experience, allowing players reach high points quickly and navigate maps in new ways.

With the new Boost Dodge mechanic, players can shift laterally into and out of cover in an instant. Boost Dash gives players evasive maneuverability in mid-air. Boost Slam is an all-new way to take out enemies from above, while melee has been re-imagined to take advantage of exoskeleton strength capabilities. Chaining these new mechanics together allows for faster and more diverse combat while still delivering call of duty’s signature run & gun gameplay.

In addition to new movements enabled by the exoskeleton, it can also be equipped with a variety of abilities & attachments. These abilities range from overclock for a speed burst to hover so players can stay elevated after boost jumping.

Soldiers can use cloak to conceal themselves or turn on ping to reveal enemy locations. All of these abilities are powered by a limited exoskeleton battery supply.

/// MULTIPLAYER

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare offers a fully customizable multiplayer experience. Create your loadout with the pick 13 system, fine-tune your appearance in create-an-operator, and earn an assortment of gear with supply drops.

Create-A-Class: Pick 13 //

Inspired by the fan favorite “pick ten” system, create-a-class gives players more options than ever before to customize loadouts for all styles of play. In addition to selecting all weapons, perks and attachments to create a loadout, scorestreaks have been added to the mix for an extra layer of personalization – and three extra slots.

Players can choose fewer scorestreaks and add to weapon, perk and attachment selections, or use a wildcard and add a 4th scorestreak for the first time. Plus, the new virtual firing range allows players to test out new weapons and loadouts between matches without leaving the lobby.

Supply Drops //

Throughout multiplayer gameplay, players will earn supply drops, part of an all-new player reward system. Supply drops contain items including weapon loot, character gear and reinforcements.

These rewards come in three rarities—enlisted, professional and elite. Character gear will provide every soldier a unique look in combat. Weapon loot brings players an unprecedented number of custom weapons with unique visual designs and performance attributes.

Virtual Lobby //

All soldiers will now be fully viewable in multiplayer lobbies. Not only does the virtual lobby allow players to show off all of their custom weaponry and equipment, but it also allows them to select and evaluate enemies’ loadouts – from weapons to perks to customization gear – to see how they stack up while preparing for the upcoming match.

/// COOPERATIVE EXO SURVIVAL

Exo Survival is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s chaotic, fast-paced cooperative mode that pits you and up to 3 friends against increasingly challenging waves of enemies, ranging from soldiers to dogs, drones and more.

Players will start by choosing from three exo tiers – light, heavy, or specialist – each which has pros and cons, catered to various play styles. As players progress from one level to the next, enemies will become increasingly challenging and some will even have new abilities.

After completing each wave, the player will earn upgrade points allowing them to customize their character with new weapons, abilities and attachments. Occasionally, a round will challenge the player to undertake an additional assignment, such as collect dog tags or diffuse EMP bombs, to earn bonus upgrade points.

Complete the task and earn the points, but fail to complete the task before the round is over and the player will face even steeper challenges in the next round. Jump into the fray with your friends, and see how long you can survive.

/// CUSTOMIZABLE & COOPERATIVE SCORESTREAKS

Scorestreaks are back, and they have been rebuilt to reflect the technology of the future. All scorestreaks can now be customized – with increasing score requirements – to alter performance attributes or increase the power of a particular streak.

Players even have the option to make certain streaks cooperative – once earned and opened, a friendly combatant can join the streak to increase the damage inflicted on enemies.

/// EXOS, PERKS, & WILDCARDS

The variable tactical grenades, or Exo Launchers, gives players a new level of flexibility in deploying tactical equipment. As players are about to toss this grenade, they can toggle between stun, emp, threat detection & smoke to deploy the right tool for the moment.

Exo Launchers //

There are 15 perks in AW multiplayer and they are divided into 3 categories. You can choose one from each category, but if you use the “Greed” Wildcards you can equip one additional perk per category for a maximum of 6 perks. There are no pro perks in the game.

Exo Abilities //

Exo Abilities can only be used for a limited time and require strategic use since they are powered by your exosuits battery – once the battery runs dry, you will need to respawn to be able to use them again.

Top of Page

Wildcards //

Wildcards allow you to slightly “break the rules” of the Pick 13 system by giving you more flexibility when building your class loadout. There are nine Wildcards available for use and you can have a maximum of three equipped at a time.
