Earlier today Sony teased gameplay footage of The Order 1886 via Twitch stream. The video above (uploaded by GamesHQMedia) shows an intense action sequence. Along with the cinematic presentation there’s a lovely display of particle effects as shots are fired back and forth.
Many people are criticizing the graphics for being too dull, but in my honest opinion the game looks as good as it should. The dull and gritty exterior of The Order 1886 can be attributed to the developers vision for the game.
The Order 1886 is set in an alternate reality London, where the order of the kings are hunting half breed monsters. If Gears of War was excused for its dark and gritty visuals, then The Order 1886 should get a pass. Take a look at the video and let us know how you feel about it.
The Order 1886 apparently has a Q4 2014 release window and is developed by Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica Studio. Hopefully we’ll see much more gameplay come E3 2014.
