It’s very rare that I actually call a game beautiful, however when it comes to Dust: An Elysian Tale I can’t think of a word more fitting. Created by XNA developer Dean Dodrill, Dust is a beautiful 2D platformer game with a heavy enthesis on combat. Dust took top honors at Microsoft’s Dream, Build, Play competition last year so it’s no surprise that the game will be seeing the light of day on the Xbox 360.
The hand painted visuals look absolutely stunning, those who enjoyed Muramasa on the Wii last year should definitely be paying close attention to Dust.
No solid release date has been announced but you can expect to see Dodrill’s breakthrough title hit XBLA some time this year.
