Max Payne Slips To 2011, Red Dead Redemption Sales 5 Million

New Carnival Games for the Wii is great and all but one game that Take-Two Interactive won’t be bringing us this year is  Max Payne 3. Unfortunately for fans of “bullet-time” Take-Two has confirmed that Max Payne 3 will not be released in 2010, despite already being pushed back for almost a year now.

In other Take-Two news, the GTA publisher has revealed that Rockstar’s latest triumph Red Dead Redemption has sold an astonishing 5 million copies worldwide in less than a month since its release. Red Dead Redemption is currently one of the  highest rated games of this generation so its good to see the sales line up the the quality of the product.

As reported by VG24, T2 chairman Strauss Zelnick stated “RDR was successful because it does not involve aliens, or army men, and was a new franchise … it was not a reiteration of an old franchise.” I guess Mr. Zelnick hasn’t heard of a litle game called  Red Dead Revolver but I digress.
