While he recently gave up his blog for consultant duties, NGai still reigns as a influential figure. Being the only relevant  face of color in the gaming public is kind of a big deal. His name would come up anytime I would watch or read any big game media such as Kotaku, Game Trailers, G4TV, Newsweek, Gamasutra, Joystiq, and this list can go on forever. Ngai has created a brand that transcends racial lines because of his knowledge and perspective of video games. So it’s no surprise he started Hit Detection consulting, game developers are looking to use his perspective before the game hits retail. Recently speaking with Ngai he told me he “left the blog world in good hands” referring to our Black Weblogs Award received last fall.
