According to the Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) the next Operation Flashpoint will be named Operation Flashpoint: Red River. OXM is to have a worlds first preview of the game in their next issue, which will be available in the UK next week. OXM has been teasing us by telling the world that the new Operation Flashpoint is a “tighter”, “more focused” game than it’s predecessor Dragon Rising.
“Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising was tremendously ambitious, but struggled to deliver,”
OXM editor Jon Hicks told CVG.
We all know how much information leaks from magazines these days so hopefully we may have some more details on the game before the issue officially drops. Operation Flashpoint: Red River is to be developed by Codemasters’ Southam and should arrive sometime in 2011.
