Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag BoxArt Revealed, Details Forthcoming

Earlier this morning, Ubisoft confirmed the existence of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and promised that more details would surface on Monday, March 4th. Below is the official boxart for the game.

With an official reveal press event having taken place in London yesterday, here is a quick rundown of what we know about the game so far:

The main protagonist of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is Edward Kenway , the father of Haytham Kenway for Assassin’s Creed III.

Edward plays the role of a privateer, assassin, and pirate.

The setting for Black Flag will take place across various portions of the Caribbean including Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas.

Players can expect naval battles to once again play a crucial role in the overall gameplay experience.

On top of all these details, Ubisoft has also confirmed that the game will feature 60 minutes of additional gameplay on the PlayStation 3 version. All of this appears vague at the moment, but more details are expected to emerge long before the game hits stores in this fall.

As a fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, I really am growing tired of these annual releases and am personally hoping this franchise is on it’s way out. How do you guys feel about the series and are you at all interested in this game? Feel free to let me know in the comments section below.
