G.O.O.D. music’s Big Sean dropped a new track tonight for our listening enjoyment. The newly leaked single will not be featured on the upcoming Hall of Fame album and, after a listen, it is clear to see why.
There is no denying that Kendrick Lamar murders and obliterates any track he is featured on and he came for blood on Big Sean’s “Control“. The 7 minute track brings Jay Electronica and Kendrick Lamar together to spit aggressive verses, calling out other rappers, and puts to rest the comparisons.
Kendrick goes the most aggressively with very notable rhymes like:
I’m usually homeboys with the same niggas I’m rhymin’ wit /
But this is hip hop and them niggas should know what time it is /
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale /
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake /
Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller /
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas /
I would definitely say that K-Dot is the reigning champ when it comes to dropping some dope bars on a feature and his presence on this track just shows Electronica’s lack of enthusiasm. I’m still waiting for the Roc Nation rapper to put out his full length (possibly shelved) debut, but props go out to Big Sean for putting these two together on a track.
Big Sean’s sophomore LP “Hall of Fame” is available for pre-order now and drops on August 27th.
