Current Gen Watch Dogs Trailer Disappoints

Earlier today, Ubisoft revealed a brand new trailer for their upcoming Watch Dogs video game. The trailer features Aisha Tyler as she appears in the game and meets her untimely death by a brutal trash truck collision.

As if this wasn’t disappointing enough, Ubisoft also stated that the trailer above was taken directly from the current gen version of the game. Given that Watch Dogs is slated to appear on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U, it’s as good as anyone’s guess which specific platform this footage was taken from.

The studio has stated several times that Watch Dogs was developed exclusively for next-gen platforms and therefore current gen hardware wasn’t a significant focal point. Having a look at these graphics definitely left me with disappointed and I especially feel sorry for those who have to settle for this version instead of buying an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 this fall.

Were you disappointed by this trailer? Are you planning on picking up Watch Dogs and if so on which platform? Feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
