A new Kirby game will be arriving on the 3DS in 2014. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata made this announcement earlier today during their most recent Nintendo Direct presentation.
This is Kirby’s first adventure onto the 3DS and the side-scroller enables Kirby to move into the foreground and the background. This time he will apparently also have the ability to ‘inhale everything’, which will help him solve puzzles and unblock paths to progress in the game.
Check out the first trailer embedded above to get a feel for the game. I think it’s looking pretty good so far. These games have always been extremely cute. If you need proof of that, then I would suggest you check out this Giant Bomb Quick Look of Kirby’s Epic Yarn as it’s absolutely impossible to not find it completely adorable.
