Yesterday afternoon, Gears of War series voice actor Lester Speight confirmed to a fan over Twitter that Microsoft has been in contact with him about reprising his role as Augustus Cole for the next Gears of War video game. The latest game in the series is currently being developed by Black Tusk Studios under the leadership of Rod Fergusson.
Ever since they acquired the IP earlier this year, Microsoft has remained quiet on the production status of this game. Fergusson has stated on several occasions that he would love to expand the franchise and explore new stories and characters. With Cole Train now seemingly being a part of this game, it will be interesting to see if other familiar characters will also make appearances in this title before everything is said and done.
The next Gears of War game is expected to launch exclusively on the Xbox One sometime over the next few years.
Are any of you looking forward to having more Cole Train in the next Gears of War game? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the matter and more in the comments section below.
