Microsoft today announced that in the last month sales of the Xbox One have doubled, likely due to the cheaper Kinect-less model being available.
The announcement was made over at Xbox Wire:
“Over the past month, we’ve seen a strong spike in interest in our Xbox One console options, including the new $399 offering, and the amazing lineup of games announced during E3. Since the new Xbox One offering launched on June 9th, we’ve seen sales of Xbox One more than double* in the US, compared to sales in May, and solid growth in Xbox 360 sales.”
This is a good sign for Microsoft who have been trailing behind the PS4 in sales, hopefully this means that we get some good competition between the rivals in the future. Unfortunately we don’t have any numbers of sales yet, however the figures should hopefully be released tomorrow. It could make for very interesting reading.
