Comcept USA has teamed up with Deep Silver for the release of Mighty No. 9. The once Kickstarter-only project will be released in both digital and retail formats this Fall with a host of new additions.
The game was originally slated to be released this Spring. However, this delay will insure that the game will contain even more content than originally planned. This is possible due to the extra resources that Deep Silver brings to the table.

From the press release:
“This is a great opportunity for Comcept: The partnership enables us to deliver Mighty No. 9 to a wider audience while adding some great extra value to the game,”says Keiji Inafune, CEO,Comcept. “This comes with the price of a short delay, but we are confident that the extra content is worth the wait.”
“The incredibly successful Kickstarter campaignfor Mighty No. 9 through Keiji Inafune and his teamhas shown how huge their fan baseis and how much anticipation there is for a true spiritual successor of classic side-scrolling action games. Deep Silver is proud topublish this game and help Comcept in bringing their vision to life,” comments Klemens Kundratitz, CEO, Deep Silver.
These additions will not affect backers (or beckers) of the Kickstarter project. They will receive all that they signed up for and more since all of the additions will now be available to them for free.
Mighty No. 9 will be available in digital and physical formats on Sept 15 for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, Linux, and Mac. Digital versions will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A 3DS version will be released at a later date.
