Did Kojima Leave a Hidden Message Within P.T. Expressing His Displeasure with Konami?

Dad was such a drag. Every day he’d eat the same kind of food, dress the same, sit in front of the same kind of games… Yeah, he was just that kind of guy. But then one day, he goes and kills us all! He couldn’t even be original about the way he did it. I’m not complaining… I was dying of boredom anyway, But guess what? I will be coming back, and I’m bringing my new toys with me.

This is a message that can be found at the end of the Silent Hills P.T. demo. This simple message, meant to strike fear into players, is now being looked at with a closer eye and raising a lot of questions. Could this be a hidden message from Hideo Kojima expressing his dissatisfaction with Konami? Did he know that Silent Hills would never hit stores? Is life that tragic that we all must suffer without this playable teaser? Where’s Guillermo del Toro?

It has recently come to light that Kojima has walked away from Konami concluding with the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Why? Simple: life between the two giants have been strained for some time now and it appears that Hills was the tipping point. Kojima, the Master of Mystery, and the refuser of speaking English, is known for his hint-dropping.

If this recording is in reference to how Hills would not make it to shelves, then we should dry our eyes and realize that this is not the end of the genius creator.

At the end of the message he states,

I’m not complaining… I was dying of boredom anyway, But guess what? I will be coming back, and I’m bringing my new toys with me.

I wonder what he has in store for us.
