Earlier today, Gamespot released details on an Official Xbox Magazine interview in which Turn 10 Studios confirmed that Forza Motorsport 6 will launch with 450 cars and no microtransactions. Below are a few notable highlights from the conversation that took place between OXM and Forza 6 Executive Producer Bill Giese:
OXM: The number of cars is 450. Are they available at launch?
Giese: At launch, yep. On disc.
OXM: Nothing’s locked behind DLC, at this stage?
Giese:No. Everything is tuned for ‘no tokens’ at launch.
The excess use of microtransactions was one of the biggest complaints that fans had with Forza Motorsport 5 when it launched alongside the Xbox One back in 2013. Today’s news is a welcomed change and proves that the developers are finally committed to giving the players more value for their money.
Forza Motorsport 6 launches exclusively on the Xbox One on September 15th. Do any of you think that ditching microtransactions was a good move by Turn 10? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the matter and more in the comments section below.
