Here’s Your First Look at Michael Fassbender in Assassin’s Creed

We’ve known that Magneto himself, Michael Fassbender, would be starring in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed live-action movie. Today, we get to see what he’ll look like in the film. In addition, we get to find out more information about the story of the film as well.

Fassbender will play Callum Lynch. Don’t recognize that name? That’s because this is a brand new character who was created for the film. While the movie has its own separate story and new characters, it still takes place in the world of Assassin’s Creed.

We also know that Lynch will have access to the memories of his ancestor, Aguilar, who lived in 15th century Spain. While the news doesn’t say if Fassbender will also play Aguilar, I think it’s a safe bet to assume he is (given the costume and all that).

Assassin’s Creed is set to begin filming on Monday in Malta, London, and Spain. It also stars Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Ariane Labed. The film is directed by Justin Kurzel.
