Another day, another delay. Microsoft has jumped into the party today by announcing that Quantum Break won’t be launching until 2016.
According to the company, moving the game will help bolster their 2016 lineup, as they feel they have one of the stronger lineups for the rest of 2015 :
“We’ve got the strongest games lineup in Xbox history right now, with 2015 blockbuster exclusives like Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, and Forza Motorsport 6, and more we’ll announce in the coming months,” “With so many games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP.”
I wish I could say this is surprising, but it seems like a lot of games are getting ready to launch next year. With conferences like E3 on the horizon, it’s going to be interesting to see whether or not we see games that will actually be launching this year.
