Turtle Beach Introduces New Headsets, Accessories and Partnerships

Written by on

Turtle Beach is without a doubt the leading brand in gaming headsets. The quality of their audio devices just gets better each year, and now they’re expanding this level of quality among their new list of accessories. During this years Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Turtle Beach showcased their new gaming headsets, including the Elite 800X, XO SEVEN Pro and XO Four Stealth. They also unveiled their new partnership with Call of Duty Online, for which they will release a licensed headset in China. But the part I’m most excited about is their new range of PC accessories, geared towards gamers. Find out about some of these exciting announcements below.

Last year Turtle Beach introduced the Stealth 500X, the first wireless headset for the Xbox One. Now they’re already following up with the Elite 800X, which brings even more firsts to the Xbox One experience. Some of these firsts include active noise cancellation and invisible, boom-free microphones.

The Elite 800X also packs a whopping DTS 7.1 channel surround sound. For those that like to get the most out of their headsets they can also fiddle with the customizable presets. On top of all this the Elite 800X comes complete with a magnetic charging stand, and the ability to swap the speaker plates.

To sweeten the deal even more, the purchase of an Elite 800X will grant the option to enroll in the Turtle Beach Elite Membership Program, which offers a number of benefits, exclusive programming and content. The Elite 800X is expected to hit retail this spring.

The XO SEVEN Pro is another headset for the Xbox One, but this the first gaming headset for the Xbox One that is officially licensed by Major League Gaming and features Superhuman Hearing. Superhuman Hearing allows you to make out soft sounds that are usually harder to hear, which provides a big advantage in competitive multiplayer games.

On top of this the XO SEVEN Pro also features tournament-grade headset durability, memory foam ear cushions for comfort and noise-isolation, a removable mic and mobile adapter cable. Just like many other Turtle Beach headsets it can be personalized with swappable speaker plates. The XO SEVEN Pro comes with the new Ear Force Headset Audio Controller Plus, which connects to the Xbox One controller for chat and game audio. All these wonderful features combined make it a great piece of audio kit for competitive players.

Turtle Beach announced that it will launch an officially licensed Call of Duty Online PC Gaming Headset in China. The PC gaming headset, which features Call of Duty branding and artwork, has 50mm neodymium speakers, an in-line controller with master volume and mic controls, and a removable boom microphone.

The Turtle Beach IMPACT 700 is tailor made to deliver precision control, durable quality and a style to competitive gamers. It’s superb anti-ghosting gives fast-moving fingers instant and accurate gameplay control even when hitting multiple keys. It has a full-sized metal-reinforced chassis and gunmetal key-cap plate for stability and a distinctive backlight shine.

The IMPACT 700 sports Cherry MX Brown key switches for a smooth, tactile feel while laser-engraved key-caps present adjustable soft-to-hard red backlighting and multiple illumination modes.

Other gaming keyboards on the horizon include:
The Turtle Beach IMPACT 500: Combines precision and power in a minimalist, tenkeyless keycap layout for minimum distance and smaller keyboard footprint.
The Turtle Beach IMPACT 100: Uses smart-guided keycap sleeves to emulate the sensation of a mechanical keyboard, but at a fraction of the cost.

The Turtle Beach Grip 500 is ergonomically engineered, with an illuminated 7-button scroll-wheel. It uses Avago 9800 laser sensors and Omron switches to deliver steady, precise gaming control. The Turtle Beach Grip 500 grants users the ability to customize its performance, change its illumination settings, key-bind all seven buttons and create up to 50 macros with 100 commands each, and then assign them to any button.
Another Turtle Beach Gaming Mouse on the horizon:
The Turtle Beach Grip 300: An affordable, ergonomically engineered 5-button scroll-wheel mouse that uses quality components such as the Avago 3050 optical sensor and Omron switches to deliver smooth, precise control.

Other PC Accessories announced by Turtle Beach this week include the Turtle Beach TRACTION Textured Control Surface Mousepad for PC and Mac, and the Turtle Beach DRIFT Fast Microfiber Mousepad for PC and Mac. The PC accessories are being produced by Nordic Game Supply (NGS) in an exclusive licensing agreement with Turtle Beach. Look out for them this spring.

With this lineup of products, it’s clear to see that Turtle Beach aims to deliver even more quality products in 2015. Be on the lookout for more updates on Turtle Beach.
