A week removed from dropping his first good track in quite some time, Kanye West was supposed to follow “Real Friends” up with another release. What has been dubbed as “G.O.O.D. Friday” once again, we were bamboozled and lied to this past Friday. Yours truly was up until 4:30am EST waiting to see if Kanye would drop a new record so I didn’t appreciate that either.
No worries though. It’s ok. Yeezy came through and blessed us with one of his best releases in at least two years with “No More Parties In L.A.” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a feature from Kendrick Lamar. The two trade verses back and forth over the Madlib produced beat, which had a snippet at the end of “Real Friends”.
“Pink fur/got Nori dressing like Cam”
The song is vintage sounding Kanye. This one sees Kanye being candid and opening up more about his family life, even saying that he’s worried for Kim and North while he’s not worried about Saint because “he’s like him”. I think we can all agree that this is the best music Kanye has put out in a while and if Swish sounds anything like these, Kanye might be ready to take on Drake next month.
