Xbox One S 2TB Model Launches August 2 at $399

Microsoft announced that it will launch the Xbox One S 2TB model on August 2nd. The launch edition can still be pre-ordered through the Microsoft Store and select retailers.

Availability at launch for the Xbox One S will be limited and Microsoft expects high demand.

The Xbox One S is 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One and includes a built-in power supply. One of the USB ports and the pairing button have been moved to the front of the console next to the new IR blaster.  The console allows you to watch Blu-ray movies and stream video in stunning 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR). HDR is available for video and gaming.

Xbox One S also comes with the new Xbox Wireless controller that features a “textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support.” The controller can be purchased separately for $59.99 starting August 2nd.

The 1TB and 500GB Xbox One S models will launch at a later date that will be revealed soon. The 1TB model is priced at $349, while the 500GB model is priced at $299.
