Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Pushed Back To January 2018

Earlier today, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. sent us a press release confirming that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is now scheduled to release on January 18th, 2018. This highly anticipated role-playing game was originally expected to launch on November 10th for both PlayStation 4 and PC. Below is a quick statement by Level-5 Inc. CEO and President Akihiro Hino as to why the slight delay was necessary.

“We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologize to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying.”

2017 has already been a fantastic year for video game releases and this trend will continue over the course of the next several months. While this delay may disappoint some, the fact of the matter is that the final product will be much better for it. Ni No Kuni II joins several other high-profile titles scheduled for release next year including God of War, Spider-Man, Far Cry 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and more. If you still haven’t played Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, then now is definitely the perfect time to do so.

Are any of you disappointed that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom won’t be out till early next year? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the delay and more in the comments section below.
