Following the global success of Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse: Godzilla: King of the Monsters, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history.
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed Ghidorah.
When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance. To give the monster apocalypse a human face, director Michael Dougherty enlisted actress Aisha Hinds as part of the G-team, which is led by as Colonel Diane Foster.
This magnificent actress who can also be seen on Fox’s 9-1-1, is an artist who aims to have the trajectory of her work be such that it exposes injustice, explores and expresses spirituality, sensuality and sexuality, inspires women and youth, and pays homage to her culture and ancestry.
The Koalition spoke to Hinds about her role in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, how she hopes this movie impacts audience and more.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will release in theaters on May 31st.
