The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Finale Spoiler Review

The final episode of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier is here and at long last, Marvel has unveiled Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Captain America — in the process, making a poignant argument for why a Black hero would stand up to a defend a country that often mistreats people who look just like him.

In the final episode titled “One World, One People”, the Disney+ series showcase a mixed of stylized cinematic quality style fight scenes with weighty talk about heroism and being a refugee.

The consequence of the characters actions was met with a new series title flashed at the end of the season finale: Captain America and the Winter Soldier with Sam stepping up to be a symbol of America.

While the season saw a complicated plot and overstuffed plot about super-powered freedom fighters becoming terrorists, the real purpose was to spend six episodes transforming the Falcon into a hero who could finally Captain America’s red-white-and-blue Vibranium shield, fully aware of all the issues he was taking on.

In a lengthy monologue Sam Wilson declared:

“Every time I pick this thing up, I know there are millions of people out there who are going to hate me for it. Yet I’m still here. No super serum. No blond hair or blue eyes. The only power I have, is to believe we can do better.”

As Sam comes into his own, Karli continues her fight John Walker looking for payback. Bucky finally puts his demons to rest, while The Power Broker everyone saw coming is underwhelmingly revealed.
