Colombian icon Carlos Vives announced as special guest for this Christmas season with Disney+. They are set bring the magic of Madrigal family with an unprecedented concert, ENCANTO at the Hollywood Bowl, which will be recorded on November 11 and 12 at the Hollywood Bowl. The iconic venue will be transformed into the magical house of the successful movie “Encanto” with the entire cast of actors who gave life to the characters with their voices. Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl will be available on Disney+ this coming December 28.
The concert is produced by Fulwell 73 Productions, Live Nation-Hewitt Silva and Disney Concerts, together with AMP Worldwide, the team behind several very acclaimed live broadcast from the Hollywood Bowl, and production design from Misty Buckley, who has worked producing major events like the Coldplay half-time show at the Super Bowl, among others. With a spectacular orchestra of 80 people, 50 dancers and special effects out of this world, the concert will feature the stellar participation of the icon multiple GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner Carlos Vives, as well as than other artists including Colombian Andrés Cepeda.
Vives is additionally starring in new Disney+ Original series, El Club De Los Graves. The Colombian series premieres worldwide on Disney+ on November 30th with the first 5 episodes. The show is centered around an eccentric music teacher, played by Vives, and a group of students from an institute specializing in musical training.
Recorded in different locations in Colombia, the new series features all original songs composed by Vives that cover different typical rhythms of the country, highlighting regional cultural values. Very soon you will be able to enjoy the band sound on digital platforms.
