WWE 2K22 Banzai Pack DLC Pack Review – Acknowledge Us

WOOHOO! It’s time to get back to WRAZZLIN! Who am I kidding? I’ve been living on WWE 2K22 since launch. The multiple match types, game modes, and by far the best community character creation center in a WWE game have got me hooked.

There was a lot of hope and high expectations for WWE 2K22 and thankfully the game did not disappoint. 2K has been quick to squash out any bugs that may occur while also sprinkling in some free content such as the NXT 2.0 arena and additional facial customization items. This week we received the first of five DLC wrestler packs titled BANZAI.

The Banzai DLC pack includes:

  • Yokozuna
  • Umaga
  • Rikishi
  • Omos
  • Kacy Catanzaro

Each superstar includes full entrance, move set, and taunts. In addition, Michael Cole and Adam Graves will chime in with some history for each superstar. For example, I wanted to recreate Yokozuna vs Brett “The Hitman” Hart from WrestleMania 9.

Once the match starts Cory Graves began talking about the WrestleMania 9 match and how there should still be some bad blood between the two competitors. I came across similar commentary for the other superstars in the pack. I love this additional commentary as it shows the selected superstars for these DLC packs were well thought out and not something that was just thrown together.

If you are a long-time WWE or pro wrestling fan in general, then you already know Yokozuna, Umaga, and Rikishi are all part of the Anoaʻi family. This also means that they are related to The Rock, Roman Reigns, and The Usos.

With that said, my Bloodline stable is now STACKED with talent in Universe mode. I have Rikishi as the manager of his sons the Usos, Umaga as the preferred tag partner, and the designated run-in member with Yokozuna as the big support man if anyone needs help.

I highly recommend jumping into Universe mode as it provides a more immersive experience for playing with all DLC and CAW superstars. Below I listed the four remaining DLC packs with release dates. Hopefully, more will be announced down the…Rhode.

Most Wanted Pack (May 17)

  • Cactus Jack
  • The Boogeyman
  • Vader
  • Ilja Dragunov
  • Indi Hartwell

Stand Back Pack (June 7)

  • Hurricane Helms
  • Stacy Keibler
  • A-Kid
  • Wes Lee
  • Nash Carter (recently released so he may or may not be in this pack)

Clowning Around Pack (June 28)

  • Doink the Clown
  • Ronda Rousey
  • The British Bulldog
  • Mr. T
  • Doudrop
  • Rick Boogs

The Whole Dam Pack (July 19)

  • Rob Van Dam
  • Logan Paul
  • Machine Gun Kelly
  • LA Knight
  • Xia Li
  • Commander Azeez

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
