Prime Video held a whopper of a panel today with Season Four of Invincible at the packed New York Comic Con panel with over 4,500 enthusiastic fans in attendance. Fans were treated to voice cast members Steven Yeun, Gillian Jacobs, and co-creator, executive producer, and co-showrunner Robert Kirkman as they revealed the highly anticipated teaser trailer and a March 2026 return date.
“Zack McVicker, always writes the first draft. Then Simon Rasopa comes in and does a pass. And then I’ll sometimes add a couple more meta jokes and like pepper something else in there to make it as a snake eating its own tail as possible because I think that stuff is funny. It’s a team effort and I think that they’re really good because the marketing team at Amazon is really strong and has a really strong hand in them from inception. And then we work with a studio in France called Bobby Pills to produce these because everybody on the show is intensely working on the show that this has to be like an outside job. We love them. This guy named Balok that’s kind of a buddy of mine. He works on them over there. It’s really great being able to bring another animation team in to envision the world. It’s a fun process every season to go, ‘Okay, how are we going to do the Burger M teaser this year?’ And we got ideas for next season. That’s going to be a lot of fun.”
“Mark and Eve, their relationship is really in a solid place moving into season 4 and it’s happening at a time when there’s a lot of bad stuff happening. So, it’s not ideal. We put these characters through their paces every season and season 4 we do it twice as much.”
“The Conquest arc in the comics is one of the most beloved arcs, not just in Invincible, but like in comics. People almost unanimously love that. And anybody who’s not in that unanimous is wrong. There is a lot of big stuff in Invincible and it’s an escalating show. We’re trying to make every season better than the one before it. And Conquest is going to be extremely hard to top. I think we all agree. The way we’re going to top that very much involves this character Thrag who is just a monumental addition to the show that is going to change everything you know about the Invincible universe. I feel like that’s a really important role to like nail down how it’s delivered.”
It was in this moment Lee Pace (Foundation, Bodies Bodies Bodies) will join the voice cast of Invincible as Thragg, the long-awaited character making his series debut in Season Four. One of the comic’s most enduring and imposing villains, Thragg leads the Viltrum Empire as Grand Regent. Trained from birth for this role, Thragg rules his people through strength, cruelty, and will – determined to restore Viltrum to its previous glory at any cost.
“You record these in like a booth by yourself with everyone on Zoom. So, so basically, I’m taking everything Robert’s telling me to do. I’m saying, ‘okay, let’s try it like this. Let’s try it like that. Now, let’s try it like this.’ And then he stitches it together. It was just a few weeks ago that I saw some scenes with my voice as Thrag and I was like, ‘damn, this is going to be fun. This is going to be cool.’ Thrag is stressed. You know what I mean? He’s stressed. He’s got a lot on his plate. He’s got some big responsibilities. I mean, he’s a dangerous guy, but is he a bad guy? Is he a bad guy? I don’t think so. From a certain point of view, he’s the hero of the story. He wants to help his people but he’s a very formidable, scary guy for sure.”
The third season of Invincible is Prime Video’s most-watched animated season of all time, marking the biggest returning season of all time across all Prime Video’s Adult Animation Originals. Invincible‘s third season was nominated for the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Animated Series in 2025, as well as consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2024 and 2025.
The first two seasons received “Certified Fresh” rankings on Rotten Tomatoes and were awarded Rotten Tomatoes‘ Golden Tomato Award for Best Animated Series in 2023. Invincible continued its critically acclaimed streak with a Season Three score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The series has already been renewed for a fifth season.
While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves, setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever.

The series is produced by Skybound Entertainment’s animation studio, Skybound Animation. The executive producers are Kirkman, Rogen, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, and Evan Goldberg. The co-executive producers are Helen Leigh and Cory Walker.
