Earlier today, Capcom released the official story trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds to celebrate tomorrow’s release date. The exciting trailer is embedded above while more details are included below.
After the mysterious child Nata is discovered on the outskirts of a territory long thought to be uninhabited, players will travel to the Forbidden Lands, as a veteran member of the Hunter’s Guild assigned to the Forbidden Lands Expedition Team.
During the journey to find Nata’s people in the Forbidden Lands, you’ll partner with your handler Alma, your trusty Palico, the reliable smithy Gemma, fellow hunter Olivia, and the native inhabitants of the Forbidden Lands. You’ll also encounter new monsters, including apex predators Uth Duna, Rey Dau, and Nu Udra – as well as the mysterious White Wraith, Arkveld, a monster long thought to be extinct before its sudden attack on Nata’s village.
I reviewed Monster Hunter Wilds earlier this week and described it as an undeniable GOTY contender. I’m curious how newcomers and veterans of the series will react to the game when it launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC tomorrow.
