J. Cole rounded out the year with arguably one of the best albums with 2014 Forest Hills Drive and “Apparently”, certainly a stand out track, has gotten the visual treatment. With the amount of time Cole spent crafting this project while remaining mostly M.I.A. from the public eye, it’s entirely possible every song will have a visual to accompany. One can hope.
This particular video keeps with the personal vibe that serves as a foundation for the entire album, displaying a performing J. Cole while his old home is shown via projector. As far as the song goes, it’s one featuring heavy singing. Reviews of the album have things about 50/50 as far as Cole’s singing goes, but “Apparently” is one of the stronger displays.
