It’s been a while but Playtonic Games has revealed the brand new title for Project Ukulele; say hello to Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie.
Players will get their hands on, Yooka, a rolling/attacking chameleon who uses his tongue like a grappling hook. He is partnered with Laylee, a bat who can fly around with Yooka and launches sonar blasts at enemies. Together they have various abilities to take out those who get in their way.
Those who like what they see, can donate to the game’s Kickstarter page starting May 1st. Those who pledge £10 / $15 will receive the game.
There are also plans to release soundtracks, art books, and a special 64-bit special edition.
If the goal is reached, Yooka-Laylee is planned to release for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U.
