Surprise Suprise! Square Enix has officially announced the release date for Final Fantasy XV, and it’s the date that had already been previously leaked. We’ll be able to get our hands on FFXV on September 30th 2016.

It doesn’t end there though. At Square Enix’s Uncovered event last night, they also announced that Final Fantasy XV would have a companion anime series, movie, mobile app and demo. There’s also several special editions.

Full details below.

Final Fantasy XV Kingsglaive: The Movie

In addition to the anime, Square Enix announced a new feature-length CGI movie called Kingsglaive. It will be available for download and streaming, worldwide, before Final Fantasy 15 launches.

Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo

The Platinum Demo now available on PS4 and Xbox One. This demo features content that won’t necessarily be in the full game itself. According to the description, you’ll Join young Noctis and his magical guide as you explore the fantastical world of his dreams, making it sound more like a short spin-off.

Justice Monsters Five

Justice Monsters Five is the free app game coming soon for iOS and Android. Apparently it’s a pinball game for mobile devices combining role-playing elements with some of Final Fantasy’s most recognized monsters. This game will also be available to play in Final Fantasy XV when it launches.
