After the constant success of the ever popular Call Of Duty series, EA and DICE devised a plan to release a game worthy of competing against the best. Battlefield 3 is expected to be massive in scope and scale, while finally challenging COD for the title of best World War based shooters. The new teaser trailer doesn’t reveal many details, but Game Informer has confirmed the following features:
64-player multiplayer on PC
Use of Jets
The ability to go prone
Game designed by use of the new Frostbite 2.0 engine
More details on the title are expected to emerge in March right around GDC 2011. There will also be an open beta scheduled for those who picked up copies of last year’s Medal Of Honor.
