Two classic titles from the forgotten Sega Saturn are coming to the Xbox Live Arcade in the coming weeks, both of which were originally developed by Treasure. The two titles are Radiant Silvergun and Guardian Heroes. Radiant Silvergun was originally released back in 1998 on the Saturn, but never saw a North American release. It is a top-down vertically scrolling shooter where the player is tasked with piloting a ship and firing off various combinations of weapons and other special attacks, much like many other games in the once popular genre. This game hits XBLA on September 14th for 1,200 MS Points ($15.)
The second game, Guardian Heroes, is a sidescrolling beat-em-up type brawler game with some minor RPG aspects, like character leveling. The game was originally released back in 1996 for the Saturn, this will be the first remake the game has seen and it will not be a straight port of the original. The graphics will be updated into the HD-range of things and sports online versus and story coop multiplayer modes. The game will go on sale October 12th for 800 MS Points ($10.)
Overall these some like two really good games that most people probably missed out on. Guardian Heroes especially seems like a great value for the low price. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below!
