Earlier today, Ubisoft finally confirmed the long awaited release date for their upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth video game. The comical RPG is currently scheduled to launch on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on December 10th in the US, and on December 13th in Europe. A PC release date remains unknown at this time and most likely may not happen until sometime early next year. To celebrate this announcement, Ubisoft also decided to release a new trailer for the game that can be seen above.
In addition to today’s release date news, the studio also revealed that a Grand Wizard Edition of the game will be available for $79.99. The Grand Wizard Edition will include a retail copy of the game, a Grand Wizard Kidrobot Cartman Figure, Kingdom of South Park Map and The Stick of Truth Ultimate Fellowship Pack with costumes already equipped with special abilities. Fans of Matt Parker and Trey Stone’s popular cartoon series have been waiting to hear more about this game and will no doubt be happy to know that The Stick of Truth is literally right around the corner. There is of course the one major concern that by December both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles will be the hottest items on everyone’s list. Going by the logic, is it possible that The Stick of Truth will still sell well or is it doomed to struggle? I would guess that when all is said and done, this game will do just fine.
