This week’s Throwback Thursday looks back on some classic Run-DMC tracks.
The first track of our selected five is “King Of Rock” from Run-DMC’s 1985 sophomore album of the same title. This track was produced by Larry Smith and Russell Simmons.
Track two is “Sucker MC’s“. This was a B-Side to their first ever single “It’s Like That“, from Run-DMC’s self-titled debut album, released in 1984. “Sucker MC’s” was produced by Larry Smith and Russell Simmons.
The third selected track is from their 2001 album titled “Crown Royal“. “Queens Day” featured Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Nas.
The fourth song is Run-DMC’s debut single titled “It’s Like That“. Produced by Russell Simmons, Jam Master Jay and Larry Smith, “It’s Like That” (as previously mentioned) was supported by “Sucker MC’s” as a B-Side. In 1997, the song was remixed by Jason Nevins and re-released as a single.
The last track in our selection is “Peter Piper“. This was the first track on their 1986 album titled “Raising Hell“. “Peter Piper” was produced by Rick Rubin.
Run-DMC’s music is still available on Amazon.
