Ubisoft today released a ten minute gameplay video of Assassin’s Creed Unity. The video which is embedded above shows numerous missions and explains some of the new features of the game.
According to the description of the demo: “In this new story mission Arno has to assassinate Sivert, a templar’s henchman. Spy on your enemies around and inside the breathtaking replica of Notre-Dame, infiltrate the cathedral and run away by the catacombs.”
The city looks wonderful in Unity and the new stealth mode looks like it will make it much easier and entertaining to sneak around the city. One feature that I also enjoy is the ‘climb down’ mechanic in the game, enabling you to climb down a building with speed, instead of just having to jump off the top like in the previous games. Hopefully Unity keeps the franchise fresh, with so many Assassin’s Creed games it could become very stale very soon.
