Disney Infinity 3.0 was just announced and it’s time to bring on Star Wars from both trilogies and The Clone Wars era…. woohoo!
First up is Twilight of the Republic, which is an all-new, original chapter of the Star Wars Saga, set in the Episodes I-III timeline featuring Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Darth Maul.
Then there’s Rise Against the Empire, which features galaxy-trotting missions with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader. This Play Set is set in the timeline of the original trilogy and will have players piloting X-Wing Fighters and the Millennium Falcon to planets Tatooine, Hoth, and Endor.
Finally there’s the Star Wars: The Force Awakens playset based on the highly-anticipated December movie.
In addition to this wallet-draining news, figures from Pixar’s Inside Out, Avengers: Age of Ultron inspired Hulkbuster, Iron Man and Ultron, characters from Tron: Legacy and Disney’s Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mulan and Olaf from Frozen are also on the way.
Disney Infinity 3.0 will release this fall on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iOS and Android.
The Starter Pack includes the Twilight of the Republic Play Set, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano Figures, and the new Toy Box 3.0 for $64.99.
In addition to that, 3.0 Power Discs will now come in labeled packs instead of blind packs. Amen to labeled Power Discs.
