The moment I’ve been wait for is finally here, Capcom has finally given us some news on their upcoming title, Dragon’s Dogma Online. The first piece of information came with screens from the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
Dragon’s Dogma Online will be a free-to-play action title with micro-transactions for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4. You’ll be able to play with up to 3 other players or go solo with 3 A.I pawns. You’ll also be able to chat, create parties, and venture the towns with up to 100 people. For those looking to jump straight into the action, they’ll be a quick matching feature.
In terms of combat, Dragon’s Dogma Online will play very similar to Dragon’s Dogma, so expect to climb large enemies. Monsters can also become enraged and therefore far more fierce. Like Dragon’s Dogma, you’ll be able to switch between any of the jobs at any time, as well as switching the jobs of your pawns. Currently only the Fighter, Hunter, Priest and Shield Sage jobs have been confirmed but I expect many more.
Dragon’s Dogma Online will also feature crafting which can be passed onto pawns because many hands make for light work. The world will be open but it will expand seasonally.
Dragon’s Dogma Online will be available for PC, PS3 and PS4 later on this year
