Earlier today, Midnight City announced that they will be bringing both Gone Home and Costume Quest 2 to consoles later this year.
The video embedded above is the official console announcement trailer for Gone Home. This Fullbright Company developed atmospheric adventure game won numerous awards last year and stood out as one of the best PC indie titles of 2013. It is currently unknown what the developers are working on, but they have already stated that their next game won’t be Gone Home 2.
Costume Quest 2 is one of that games that Double Fine acquired as a result of the THQ auction sale early last year. This Action RPG revolves around two twins who dress up in unique costumes on Halloween night and take on the powers of each costume respectively. Below is the console announcement trailer for this game starring some of the talented team over at Double Fine Productions.
Today’s announcement regarding both of these games is good news for gamers everywhere. It seemed like a foregone conclusion that Gone Home would eventually come to the PS4 and I’m especially happy that now people don’t have to have a PC to experience what this game has to offer. There is no firm release date for either, but we can expect more news on this sooner rather than later.
Are any of you planning on picking up either one of these games? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
