Earlier today, Wales Interactive Managing Director David Banner confirmed via the PlayStation Blog that Master Reboot is coming to the PS3 on March 4th. A launch trailer is embedded above to give you a rough example of what the game has to offer.
Master Reboot has been described as a psychological horror game that takes inspirational cues from Day of the Tentacle and Tron. In the game, players are tasked with exploring a soul cloud server to figure out who they are and how they died. This title takes roughly 5 – 8 hours to complete and will retail for the reasonable price of $14.99. Master Reboot originally debuted on the PC last October and was planned to drop on PSN earlier this week before being pushed back to March.
While it’s great to hear that more intriguing titles like this are receiving new life on the PS3, I find myself questioning why this game isn’t also coming to the PlayStation 4. Sony has already proven to be highly supportive of indie titles on the next-gen console and it seems like adding this game would be an absolute no-brainer. Hopefully this is something that they will heavily consider as an option moving forward.
Did any of you get a chance to play Master Reboot when it launched on PC late last year? If so, please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the game and more in the comments section below.
