Torchlight II Release Date and New Classes Announced

Gamers around the world are hotly anticipating the next release from Runic Games: Torchlight II. For those unaware, the company is made of a sizable amount of the developers that originally worked on the Diablo franchise for Blizzard - naturally, it will draw a lot of comparisons to that series. It is very much in the same vein (an action RPG with lots of hacking, slashing, looting, and the like) and for the first time in the Torchlight series, multiplayer.

The above video shows some new snippets of gameplay, as well as some information on four new character classes. The melee focused heavy-attacking Berserker, big weaponry and strong power based Engineer, a magic based class that specializes in fire called the Embermage, and finally an outlaw-esque class that sports handy pistols called the Outlander.
