Diablo 3 Launch Won’t Include PvP

The next entry in the Diablo series has been in the works for a long time, and players looking forward to PvP will have to wait even longer. Blizzard announced on their website that PvP capabilities will not be available at launch, and will instead be released via patch at a later date.

Blizzard said the systems “aren’t yet living up to [their] standards”, and they felt this solution was better than delaying the full release of the game (again).  They also promised that their full attention will be put on PvP once the game launches. While not yet ready, Blizzard does promise a variety of maps, achievements, and progression options to keep fans busy. Hopefully this will keep the disappointment this announcement is sure to create to a minimum.

The announcement also teases that an announcement about the launch date is days away. Hopefully they won’t keep us waiting too much longer.
